Job description

Description

2nd shift Availability, 3pm - 1am. Shift Differential Provided, Monday - Thursday Schedule, with Friday Overtime Available!

Responsibilities
  • Frequently lifting castings weighing up to 16 lbs. and loading them onto a tray (while in a standing position) during a 10 hour shift.
  • Pick red-hot castings off of tray with short rake, separate and pass over to rolling mill.
  • Change dies with use of various tools.
  • Use pliers to grab and pull blank out of press and toss into quench tank on angle.
  • Frequent bending and twisting.
  • Constant exposure to hot environment.
  • Maintain established quality and quantity standards.
  • Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Maintain daily production and other records as required.
  • Provide assistance to other team members as requested by team leader.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. At least 3 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Lift 15+ pounds.
  • Awareness of OSHA & Safety standards. Knowledge of lean manufacturing a plus.
  • Requires English reading, writing, adding, subtracting, decimals, fractions, simple arithmetic that is involved in carrying out work instructions.
