Filler Operator Job Description

Position Type: Hourly | Hourly Wage: $25.48

Function: Operations

Summary: Safely operates and maintains Filler Machine to fill and package Capri Sun drink pouches.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with all departments to meet or exceed safety goals. Participate as a Safety Team member or co-leader.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, GMPs, and dress code.
• Start up, operate, and shut down filling, cooling, sealing, straw placing, carton forming, filling, sealing equipment, Video Jet coder, and conveying systems. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Monitor mechanical operation, troubleshoot issues, and notify technicians or team leads as necessary.
• Check pouch code legibility, weights, temperatures, seal integrity, straw placement, sanitation, and perform daily PMs.
• Understand HACCP program requirements.
• Coordinate with Filler Utility to ensure sufficient packaging materials are available.
• Maintain good housekeeping, perform mini cleans, CIP, product pushes, and hot flushes.
• Participate in team development and process improvement meetings, including occasional overnight stays for green room activities.
• Operate Quality Suites and OEE downtime programs efficiently.
• Assist filler utility responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role also involves accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, cold, electrical hazards, and vibration. Moderate noise levels. Use of PPE including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, bump cap, etc.
