Pertemps Coventry is hiring a Machine Operator for Stratford-upon-Avon. The role involves setting up and running extrusion machinery to produce profiles, with full training provided.

The position offers a training pay rate of £13.11 per hour and a path to a permanent role after the temporary period. You will join a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to develop skills and gain experience in extrusion operations.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machinery to manufacture a range of profiles, including bars, tubing and structural shapes.
• Select and install dies, mandrels, calibrators, extrusion heads and haul-offs to suit production requirements.
• Ensure hoppers are supplied with the correct raw materials throughout production.
• Complete all production and quality records accurately.
• Carry out dimensional and surface finish checks to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
• Remove finished products from the production line and pack them to the required standard.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including lubrication, to keep machinery operating efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping within the production area.

Pay: £13.11 per hour (Training Rate)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 6:00pm | Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
