Point Professional Recruitment LTD is seeking a Machine Operator for a permanent position in Papworth Everard. Salary £32,000–£33,000 with benefits and overtime, on a 34-hour Friday to Monday shift.

You will prioritise work, maintain equipment, and ensure quality while supporting a friendly, team-oriented environment with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or printing environment preferred.
Willing to learn, with good work ethic.
Full training provided for right candidate.
Own transport due to village location.

Job description

Machine Operator

£32,000 to £33,000 plus benefits and overtime rates

Due to continued growth our client is looking for a skilled Production Operator to work on a 34 hours Friday to Monday shift. The Machine Operator is a permanent position. The company environment is a warm friendly and very team orientated.

Main duties for the Machine Operator

Prioritising work based on the Production schedule to ensure products are completed and ready to be passed to the next team in the production process on time and to specification.
Responsibility for adhering to departmental procedures & housekeeping.
Understanding the requirements of every job and ensuring all materials are correct and present
Undertaking routine maintenance and housekeeping on the machines
Ensuring products are of a high quality by undertaking thorough inspections and reporting defects to management.

Departmental Specific Tasks for the Machine Operator

Operating machinery including cutting machines.
Undertaking bespoke hand finishing tasks.
Operating Printers
Operating the Seal Laminator
Packing materials to their different specifications where applicable.

Skills for the Machine Operator

Good organisation skills and the ability to thrive in pressurised environments
Ability to multi-task and utilise resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment with tight timelines
Excellent attention to detail and a record of maintaining high quality standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

If you have any experience of the printing industry that would be fantastic, however full training would be given for the right work ethic and desire to learn.

Forklift Licence an advantage.

This is a village location, transport is essential.
