Job Description Machine Operator

  • Location: Draycott, Moreton-In-Marsh
  • Job Type: Day shifts
  • Salary: £24,000 - £35,000+ depending on experience

Reed are seeking Machine Operators to join our clients' team in Moreton-In-Marsh. This role is crucial for the safe operation of production equipment, ensuring the completion of the production plan while adhering to quality standards and maximizing cost-effectiveness and equipment efficiency. The Machine Operator will also perform maintenance tasks and is expected to master the operation of a series of machines to provide factory resilience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Set up machines for production cycles, ensuring calibration and cleaning are performed.
  • Control and adjust machine settings such as speed and tension during operation.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Monitor product output to identify any machine or material-related defects.
  • Maintain accurate records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Uphold a clean and tidy work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator.
  • Working knowledge of high-speed rotary machinery.
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Ability to read product specifications and machine instructions.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and maths, with the capability to input data and transactions into company computer systems.
  • Team player with the ability to support colleagues as needed.
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including the constant use of protective gear.
