Job description

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an individual to become a Machine Operator with our expanding Livingston based client. Please note that the successful candidate must have previous Machine Operating experience.

Pay rate: £13.81 per hour - paid weekly

What's on offer? Tuesday to Saturday shifts, working on a weekly rotation of:

  • Week 1: Early Shift - 6am to 2pm
  • Week 2: Back Shift -2pm to 10pm
  • Week 3: Night Shift -10pm to 6am

Working as a Machine Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Operating a wide range of production machinery
  • Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
  • Cleaning production machinery
  • Informing Supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues
  • Monitoring the production line ensuring a smooth flow of production
  • Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
  • Storing goods and raw materials in the warehouse
  • Adhering to relevant H&S regulations when operating machinery and handling products
  • Keeping work areas and the production floor clean and free from hazards
  • Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines

To be successful as a Machine Operator you will have previous machine operating experience, ideally in a production, manufacturing or similar environment. Combined with a good level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; the ability to work on your own and as part of a team; and great attention to detail. The successful candidate must also be able to pass a colour-blind test.
