Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is recruiting a Machine Operator for our Work Surfaces facility in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, East Yorkshire. You will grind and polish quartz and Dekton worktops, in a wet environment, using portable tools and maintaining safety and quality throughout the process.

This hands-on role requires experience in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and teamwork. It offers night shifts, excellent benefits, pension, and opportunities for overtime to increase earnings.

Job description

Howdens is recruiting a Machine Operator to join our team at Howdens Work Surfaces, our solid surfaces production facility in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, East Yorkshire. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for grinding and polishing quartz & Dekton worktops to achieve a high-quality finish using portable grinding and polishing tools. As part of the finishing process, you will be working in a wet production environment, where water is used throughout the polishing operation.

Pay Rate

Band C: £35,786.40 per annum + Shift allowance £4,882.80 per annum

Band B: £43,696.64 per annum + Shift Allowance £4,882.80 per annum

Shift Pattern Sunday to Thursday nights | 9:45pm - 6:00am

Regular opportunities for overtime are available to increase your earnings
