Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent Carpet manufacturer in Glasgow, VA area, is seeking Material Handlers to join their team.

Machine Operator/ Winder Operator:
$17.69 per hour
2nd or 3rd shift with shift diff (overtime when needed)

• Check and sort all return yarn from Tufting.
• Rewind yarn on Gilbos and Backwinder. Place empty tube on winder.
• Wind packages, sent from winder assistant, onto tube.
• Doff full packages and place in yarn box for Tufting.
• Fan off winder.
• Aspirate all skinners ½ inches or less.
• Inspect, sort, and dispose of damaged tubes.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Machine Operator: Qualifications:

• Be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting, ability to operate powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks and follow instructions.
• Background check.
• Drug Screen.
• Steel toe footwear.
