Job description

We are currently recruiting for 5 Machine Operators on a permanent contract to work for a well-established packaging manufacturing company based in Bingley, BD16.

Pay Rates
  • £13.72 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x rate when available
  • Pay increase reviewed after training completion
  • Company pension scheme contribution
Shifts
  • 4 on 4 off, consisting of 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 days off
  • 12 hours per shift
Role Responsibilities
  • Operate extrusion and conversion machine lines, including loading and unloading 25kg product rolls, packaging, checking, recording, and filling raw material bins.
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Quality policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Follow work procedures and ensure full training in safe systems of work.
  • Blend and mix raw materials or use pre-produced films as per job card specifications.
  • Operate conversion, bagging machines, and extrusion lines to produce film and bags according to detailed specifications.
  • Pack and warehouse products according to customer requirements, job cards, and supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and operate at optimal speeds for quality and efficiency.
  • Remove rejects from the system and prepare for recycling.
  • Accurately record quality checks, weights, and quantities in production records.
  • Keep machinery and work area clean; report faults to supervisors.
  • Overtime may be required for covering holidays and absences.
