Job summary

WJL Engineering LTD, based in the Black Country, West Midlands, is seeking a reliable Workshop Operative to join its busy workshop. This hands-on role involves chamfering, deburring, inspection, and general duties across the production team.

A positive attitude and flexibility are valued, with full training provided where needed. Experience in an engineering environment is beneficial, particularly operating a Capstan lathe to produce fasteners.

About the Role

WJL Engineering is looking for a reliable and hardworking Workshop Operative to join our busy engineering workshop. This is a varied hands-on role that would suit someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of workshop operations.

Main Duties

• Chamfering and tapping nuts to specification.
• Deburring a variety of machined components.
• Carrying out in-process inspection.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required.
• Supporting the production team with a range of workshop tasks and odd jobs.

About You

The ideal candidate will:
