Job summary

Evo Personnel is recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company in Lancashire. The role offers full-time, ongoing work with rotating day and afternoon shifts and 34 paid hours per week.

Ideal candidates will have machine operator experience in manufacturing, familiar with CNC machinery, and able to read engineering drawings. Safe work practices and attention to detail are essential for meeting quality targets.

Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operator experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• CNC machine operating experience would be advantageous.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills; able to organise and prioritise workload.
• Ability to work under pressure without compromising quality.
• Reliable and flexible, able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC and production machinery.
• Using the appropriate machine software and controls.
• Producing small to medium-sized components from engineering drawings.
• Manufacturing small to medium production batches.
• Working accurately to specified measurements and tolerances.
• Carrying out regular quality checks on finished components.
• Identifying and reporting production or quality issues.
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Working closely with other members of the manufacturing team.
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and wearing PPE.

Pay: £13.21 – £15.14 per hour, depending on experience

The Opportunity

Evo Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous machine operating experience who is looking for stable, ongoing work with the opportunity to develop their skills and progress within manufacturing.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and quality-focused, with the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a small production team.

Working Hours

You will work a rotating shift pattern:

• 6:00am – 2:00pm


• 2:00pm – 10:00pm


• 34 paid hours per week

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operator, your duties will include:

• Setting and operating CNC and production machinery.
