Job description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Machine Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all Machine Operative tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and being at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare, whilst promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach.

Permanent Position: Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm on rotation weekly

Key Tasks and Duties:
  1. Work within the ethos and standards of the company
  2. Work in all areas of the factory
  3. Complete training on all functions of MO1 Grade 1
  4. Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas
  5. Keep up to date knowledge of all products
  6. Ensure waste is discarded in an appropriate manner
  7. Follow work instructions in all areas
  8. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  9. Be responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees
  10. Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date
  11. Actively participate within the team to ensure and maintain high standards
  12. Responsible for ensuring that all targets are achieved
  13. Accurate setting up of any machine to ensure start-up is completed on time
  14. Communicate with Shift coordinators, Leaders and team to ensure they are aware of any issues within your designated area
  15. Work and communicate with other members of the team to ensure transfer of information with regard to your role
  16. Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
  17. Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
  18. Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
