Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Machine - Mixing Operatives or Blending Operatives to join a drinks manufacturer in the Bradford area.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Fault finding and low-level correction of pumps and valves.
  2. Managing MES SCADA errors and chemical handling with awareness.
  3. Performing basic mechanical maintenance (Autonomous Maintenance).
  4. System auditing, reporting, and compiling Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Participating in project teams and delivering results.
  6. Continuously improving plant and process efficiency.
  7. Ensuring the accurate transfer and consumption of raw materials using FIFO and batch management principles via the site IT system.
  8. Manufacturing syrups according to standard recipes using MES and SCADA systems.
  9. Training team members on SOP creation and use, monitoring operations via MES and SCADA, and resolving system faults.
  10. Meeting key performance objectives within the QCDSP framework and maintaining plant performance through Continuous Improvement tools.
  11. Maintaining hygiene standards in the Ingredient Processing Centre using 5S principles.
  12. Overseeing cleaning of downstream equipment in coordination with external team leaders.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • 5S and BIT training or an equivalent NVQ Level II qualification.
  • Food safety and hygiene certification.
  • Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Basic mechanical skills for autonomous maintenance.

Work Details:

  • Hours: 12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, including nights.
  • Shift Pattern: Continental shifts involving days and nights.
  • Pay: £15.87 per hour.
  • Duration: Temporary with potential for permanent employment.
