Here at Impact Recruitment, we are recruiting for a Machine Operator, this role is responsible for manufacturing chemical formulations in accordance with established production plans, safety protocols, and quality standards. This role is integral to meeting daily production targets and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Hours: 1:30pm - 12:00am | Monday - Thursday

Location: Northampton (NN4)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out batch processing activities, including the accurate weighing, dispensing, and mixing of chemicals using appropriate equipment and methods.
  • Adhere strictly to approved manufacturing procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Assist in off-loading tankers, including hazardous and flammable substances.
  • Participate in routine stock takes and maintain stock control records.
  • Uphold high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the production area.
  • Operate in line with all company policies, ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) statutory requirements.
  • Conduct daily audits, including tank level readings.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and batch testing to ensure product integrity.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality-related issues and escalate findings to the Head of Production.
  • Accurately document all batch mixing activities and perform quality inspections.
  • Maintain inventory records and input data into the stock control system.
  • Complete batch documentation in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance with internal procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with chemical products.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in a production setting.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
  • Experience in a COMAH-regulated facility.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
