Job Description:

Kinetic Manchester are recruiting a Machine Minder / Operative to work for a large manufacturing company in Blackley. You will be working 0600 - 1400 AND 1400 - 2200 rotating weekly. The company has a history dating back more than 120 years, making them a truly world-class manufacturer. Their products build the vital infrastructure that supports the way we live and work.

Please note, a DBS check will be completed upon offer.

As one of the Machine Minders, you will be tasked with:

1. Ensuring that the line remains operational during the shift
2. Making minor machine adjustments to ensure the effectiveness of the plant equipment
3. Maintaining the quality of the product
4. Identifying manufacturing compliance problems
5. Operating production machinery as per SOP and Process Specification
6. Completing production sheets e.g. production figures, downtime, and scrap
7. Carrying out 5S duties
8. Completing the initial investigations to solve process problems using a range of techniques e.g. data collecting, analysis of SPC Chart
9. Completing the line set up and start up in a responsible and safe manner
10. Completing any safety check-offs
11. Testing completed reels/drums as per inspection schedule and recording on production sheet
12. Updating waste management systems, scrap sheets, and correctly disposing of scrap

To be successful as the Machine Minder / Operative, you must have the following:

1. Excellent practical skills for completing manual work
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Ability to follow written and spoken instructions
4. Ability to work quickly and follow set routine patterns
5. Awareness of health and safety
6. Must be flexible, enthusiastic, and a team player
7. Able to consistently work 0600 - 1400 & 1400 - 2200 rotating
