Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting a Machine Minder Operative for a well-established client in Trafford Park, M17. The role involves setting up and running high-speed production equipment, ensuring quality, and maintaining detailed production records.

Shifts are 12 hours on a 4 on/4 off pattern. Training pays £12.71/hr for up to four weeks, rising to £13.50-£14.65/hr once fully trained and signed off to operate independently.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude.
• Reading blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Quality inspection.

Working hours - 12 hours

Pay £12.71 during training ( up to 4 weeks) £13.50 - £14.65/hour after trainign is completed and you are signed off to complete all the tasks on your own
