Job summary

Jordan’s Cereals is seeking a Machine Minder to operate and set up packing machinery for high-quality finished products. The role is based on a day shift with a 4-on/4-off pattern (6am–6pm), offering opportunities to contribute to efficiency and product quality within ABF’s growing group.

We value proactive training, teamwork, and adherence to safe operating procedures to ensure a clean and efficient production line.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a food production environment.
• Team Working Skill and examples of good relationships with peers and Managers.
• Understands importance of effective shift handovers.

Responsibilities

• Lead to minimise downtime and keep machines running at correct speeds.
• Pursue training and record quality data including pre-start checks and quality index.
• Follow SOPs and maintain safe, hygienic work area and properly store machine parts and tools.
• Minimise downtime on the line and ensure machines run at the correct speeds.

Shift Pattern: Day shift 4-on-4-off, 6am-6pm

We’re looking for a Machine Minder to join our friendly and ambitious team. As part of the ABF group, we have big plans for the next five years, you’ll play a key role in shaping our future. The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be responsible for the set up and running of packing machinery producing high quality packs of finished products.

The Machine Minder working pattern would require full flexibility across the week as it is worked on a 4 on 4 of rotation. For example, one week you would work Monday to Thursday, then the following week would be Tuesday to Friday. This will be day shift only, working 6am to 6pm.

Key Accountabilities

Our Production Manager is looking for a team member to...

• Lead boldly — take ownership and m inimise downtime on the line ensuring all machines are running at the correct speeds.
• Stay curious — Proactively engage in training, proactively seek training and support to develop and improve skills level, with accurate recording of information relating to quality of product or its constituent parts including pre-start checks and quality index.
• Do the right thing together — Be aware of Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Working whilst operating machinery and equipment, provide a safe working environment for self and others and managing own work area, keeping it hygienic and tidy including the correct storage of machine parts and tools.
• Make it happen — Minimise downtime on the line ensuring all machines are running at the correct speeds.
