Overview

Machine Minder

Humdinger, Heckington. NG34 9JH

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00

Pay range: £13.27/hour starting grade, increasing up to £15.49/hour (Depending on experience) (Salary equivalent £27,601.60 - £32,219.20)

Breaks: 2 x 20 minutes paid

Responsibilities
  • Run automated equipment such as pouch machines, flow wrappers, top web sealers, vertical formers, and multi head weighers.
  • Prepare the machines ahead of each product run and in between changeovers, adjusting settings and equipment when needed.
  • Operate the machines to ensure they are working to correct efficiently standard.
  • Carry out regular checks and repair basic mechanical defects independently or with engineering assistance.
  • Adhere to all aspects of shift/line quality standards.
  • Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) at all times.
  • Attend required training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Working experience within an FMCG environment (ideally Food), setting up and operating machinery.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • An interest in mechanics and machinery troubleshooting.
  • Completion of Level 2 Food Safety (Training provided by the company if not held before starting)
