Job summary

IPL, Forza & Kober is seeking a Machine Minder to join our manufacturing team, supporting a global retailer with a turnover in excess of £2 billion. The role focuses on safe operation, routine maintenance and efficient line performance in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will combine practical mechanical skills with a strong eye for detail, follow SOPs and participate in continuous improvement while working closely with line leaders and engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a production and fast-moving environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Understanding of health and safety policies in the workplace.
• Drive to deliver results and problem solve.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail, whilst undertaking repetitive tasks
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions.
• Good level of understanding of the English language.
• Excellent team working skills with the ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Monitor work area for safety and maintain machinery cleanliness.
• Complete daily machine safety checks per SOPs and PPM schedule.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining SOPs.
• Record packs per minute and ensure weights.
• Perform changeovers with minimal downtime and safety.
• Coordinate with Packaging Team to ensure labels and packaging are ready.
• Report issues to Line Leaders and engineers clearly.
• Adhere to World Class standards at all times.

About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Minder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion + turnover.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the work area to ensure the workplace is safe and all machinery is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensuring all daily machine safety checks are completed in line with the trained SOP’s and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedule
• Sharing responsibility for the implementation and maintenance to the requirements of Standard Operating Procedure’s
• Monitoring and recording packs per minute (PPM) on machines whilst overseeing that products are not overweight/underweight
• Ensuring product changeovers are performed with minimal downtime but in a safe and accurate manner
• Collaborating effectively with the Packaging Team/ Packaging Coordinator to ensure that all labels, packaging and film is on the line and ready to use in good time before job is ready
• Liaising with and reporting any issues to the Line Leaders and engineers in a clear and concise manner
• Adhering to ‘World Class’ standards at all times
