Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) in Hull is recruiting for a Machine Minder on a 4 on 4 off night-shift (18:00–06:00). You will work with the shift manager to plan the night, ensure lines are ready, and set machines for the correct product to keep lines running on time.

Training will be provided for the right candidate who can work to tight timeframes and maintain excellent timekeeping. A supportive environment and opportunities for progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience on production lines is preferred; full training will be given for the right candidate.
• Must be able to work to specific time frames and be reliable.
• A proven record of excellent timekeeping is pivotal to running each shift.

Responsibilities

• Work with the shift manager at the start of each shift to ensure the next line is ready and machines are set up.
• Work with the hygiene team to clean lines during and after shifts to prevent downtime.
• Eliminate all line set-up downtime and assist with machine stripping for cleaning.

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Due to the growth of our business, we are expanding our night shift and recruiting for a Machine Minder.

Shifts - 4 on 4 off 18:00-06:00

Pay - £16.77 per hour

• Work with the shift manager at the start of each shift, to work through the night shift plan by ensuring the next line needed on the plan is ready and all machines are set up with the correct product, for the Line Leader to move to on time.
• Work with the hygiene team during, and at the end of shift, so the lines required during the shift are cleaned in a timely manner, to eliminate downtime when moving lines.
• Eliminate all line set-up downtime
• Assist the hygiene team by stripping down machines for cleaning

Candidate requirements:

• The ideal person would be someone with experience in production lines. As well as an understanding of key products. However, for the right candidate, full training will be given.
• This person will need to be self-motivated as they will be required to work to specific time frames
• This person will need to have a proven record of excellent timekeeping as the role will be pivotal to the running of each shift
