Job Description:

The Role

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. They will manage the end-to-end delivery, working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing governance and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Aligning cloud strategies with Microsoft technology through client engagement.
• Presenting propositions via webinars and face-to-face workshops.
• Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of solutions.
• Assisting with proposals and RFIs alongside sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge Required:

• Proven experience with Entra and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Experience with M365 migrations, deployments, and tenant merges.
• Experience with M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
• Familiarity with core M365 applications like Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Knowledge of M365 governance and data protection services, including Information Protection and DLP.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, or applications is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Intune, Endpoint security, and management.
• M365 business adoption and change management.
• PowerApps.
• Unified Communications and meeting services.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery, including application/data migration or business process modernization.
• Leadership experience in delivery engagements and managing technical teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and high-quality documentation skills.
• Flexibility, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to obtain or hold HM Government clearances.
