M365 Senior Technical Architect

The Role:
The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. The Senior Architect will manage the end-to-end delivery working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure our projects are delivered with time and quality as key objectives. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
2. Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our ability to meet a prospect’s cloud adoption needs.
3. Acting as the Technical Design Authority on projects alongside Solution Architects.
4. Providing governance to projects and mentoring team members.
5. Maintaining technical knowledge by collaborating closely with our Microsoft account teams.
6. Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
7. Ensuring the security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
8. Working with clients to demonstrate how their cloud strategy aligns with Microsoft technology.
9. Showcasing propositions to customers via online webinars and face-to-face workshops.
10. Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure our solutions are understood throughout the firm.
11. Contributing to proposals and RFI responses in collaboration with sales and pre-sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge Required:

1. Proven experience with Entra, including on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
2. Proven experience with M365 migrations and deployments, including tenant merges.
3. Proven experience with M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
4. Proven experience with core M365 applications and services such as Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
5. Proven experience with M365 governance and data protection services, including Information Protection and DLP.
6. Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications is desirable.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience with Intune and Endpoint security and management.
2. M365 business adoption and change management.
3. Experience with PowerApps.
4. Knowledge of Unified Communications and meeting services.

Candidate Profile:

1. 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery, including application and data migration or business process modernization.
2. Experience leading delivery engagements and managing technical teams.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and manage relationships in complex environments.
4. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening), with the ability to present information clearly to all levels.
5. Ability to produce high-quality, professional presentations.
6. Attention to detail and consistency in documentation language, terminology, and style.
7. Flexible, with a focus on delivering to deadlines and maintaining high standards.
8. Discretion in handling highly confidential information.
9. Willingness to obtain or currently hold HM Government security clearances.
