Job Description:

The Role

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. They will manage end-to-end delivery, working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time and to high quality standards. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing governance to projects and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Aligning cloud strategies with Microsoft technology for clients.
• Presenting propositions to customers via webinars and workshops.
• Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of solutions.
• Contributing to proposals and RFIs with sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge Required:

• Proven experience with Entra and on-premises Active Directory components.
• Experience with M365 migrations, deployments, and tenant merges.
• Knowledge of M365 security features including Defender for Identity.
• Experience with core M365 applications such as Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Understanding of M365 governance, Information Protection, and DLP services.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, or applications is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Intune, Endpoint security, and management.
• Knowledge of M365 adoption and change management.
• Experience with PowerApps and Unified Communications.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery, including application/data migration or business process modernization.
• Experience leading delivery projects and managing technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce professional documentation.
• Flexible, deadline-oriented, and discreet handling of confidential information.
• Willingness to obtain or currently hold HM Government security clearances.
