M365 Senior Technical Architect

The Role:

The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG's M365 solutions for our clients. They will present solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations, manage end-to-end delivery with other Architects and Consultants, mentor junior team members, and foster a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
• Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities.
• Acting as the Technical Design Authority alongside Solution Architects.
• Providing governance and mentoring team members.
• Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
• Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory.
• Ensuring the security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
• Aligning clients' cloud strategies with Microsoft technology.
• Presenting propositions via webinars and face-to-face workshops.
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure understanding of solutions across KPMG.
• Working on proposals and RFIs with sales and pre-sales teams.

Core Technical Knowledge Required:

• Experience with Entra and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
• Experience with M365 migrations and deployments, including tenant merges.
• Experience with M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
• Experience with core M365 applications and services: Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
• Experience with M365 governance and data protection services: Information Protection, DLP.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, or applications is preferred.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Intune and Endpoint security/management.
• M365 adoption and change management.
• PowerApps, Unified Communications, Meeting Services.

Candidate Requirements:

• 10+ years' experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery.
• Experience in application/data migration or business process modernization.
• Leadership experience in delivery engagements and managing technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and high-quality document production.
• Flexibility, discretion, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to obtain or currently hold HM Government security clearances.
