Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M + I Field Engineer to deliver high standards of Measurement, Calibration, and Verification services. This role involves both onshore and offshore services, with a key focus on ensuring company quality, health and safety protocols are adhered to while achieving commercial objectives. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining calibration equipment and leak testing facilities to meet legislative and operational requirements, while liaising with clients and various departments.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Act as a liaison between the client team, client representatives, and maintenance departments to ensure smooth calibration and verification processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide ad-hoc support to client sites as needed.
  3. Offer engineering support on meter verifications, pressure testing, and certification to ensure regulatory compliance.
  4. Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records, test reports, and certificates for clients.
  5. Ensure compliance with national and international measurement and testing standards.
  6. Review calibration strategies to ensure continuous compliance.
  7. Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities to reduce costs, retain existing clients, and secure new contracts.
  8. Manage the timely purchase, repair, calibration, and recertification of field and test equipment.
  9. Gain experience in new energies and renewables sectors, including carbon capture, hydrogen, and biogas.
  10. Oversee calibration and verification of instrumentation for custody transfer of cargo in compliance with relevant shipping standards.
  11. Mentor and guide trainee technicians to build their knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Recognised technical formal qualification HNC/Degree.
  • GCSE Maths and English (grades A to C) or equivalent.
