Job Description

I am working with a client who has an exciting opportunity for an M&E Technician (Mechanical) to join their Facilities Management team based at a well-known hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.

The Role
  • Apply trade skills and experience to allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance, repair, or mechanical services, as well as refurbishments and new works on plant and equipment across the site.
  • Communicate effectively with other trade staff such as engineers, especially for mechanical maintenance, new, and remedial works.
  • Perform mechanical repairs and cleaning of mechanical components and equipment.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdowns.
  • Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About You
Essential
  • Recognised advanced mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT literate, with ambition for personal development.
Desirable
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Experience in engineering across various service streams.
  • HVAC training undertaken.
  • MGPS experience.
