Overview

Job Role: Be responsible for the design and specification of projects by producing technical M&E drawings and plans. Work systematically to ensure completion of tasks to meet strict deadlines and fulfil clients' expectations as well as being able to work cross functionally with the Estimating and Operations teams and able to communicate and explain technical information.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the design and specification of projects by producing technical M&E drawings and plans.
• To work to specific requirements of a project and produce detailed technical drawings.
• Facilitate client design meetings, presenting high-level drawings that are functional, safe and compliant with Building Regs.
• Coordinate packages and chair design team meetings.
• Following specifications and calculations to technical drawings for food factories and staffing facilities within these.
• Work with mechanical and electrical contractors to develop M&E design.
• Take into consideration build costs when designing and look to value engineer where possible.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with commercial building regulations.
• Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project.

Experience required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience in creating detailed schematics and drawings within the commercial industry.
• Impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline.
• Knowledge of construction processes and how they relate to technical design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design implementation.
