About the Role:
We are seeking a M&E biased, experienced and highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Hull. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end to end cost management of the project, overseeing all aspects of budget management, cost control, subcontract procurement, and contract administration. They will be a subject matter expert and be capable of providing sound commercial strategy input to the project, they will have experience in managing JCT D&B contracts and executing complex projects in excess of £20 million in advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors.
This role involves significant responsibility in managing supply chain selection for subcontract packages with a focus on utilising proven, reliable local SME's. The SQS will lead the RFQ, tender evaluation and subsequent contract award for packages. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining key internal and external project cost documentation such as the cost plan, cost reports, risk register, and change control records.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the Regional Commercial Lead and be committed to mentoring and developing junior team members. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong technical knowledge, and leadership skills to deliver successful project outcomes.
