A brilliant opportunity to grow a long term career as Senior M&E QS with a leading main contractor on high profile construction projects in London.

Our client is at the beginning of a huge growth phase, having been successfully awarded some fantastic contracts, and other bids still in the pipeline. This is an extremely exciting time to join our client. Project values are into the 10s of millions per year.

The role will offer the opportunity to a Senior QS to work for a well respected main contractor in the construction industry with a great reputation among clients and employees alike.

As Senior QS, you will be given the opportunity to grow and progress, working for a hugely successful commercial and projects team.

Our client is an expert in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering. As a business, they have extensive experience of delivering a huge range of projects in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial, educational, Defence, and Data Centres.

They are seeking a Senior QS with MEP experience to join the team to oversee construction projects of commercial buildings in Central London.

With growth continually on the mind of the business, you will be involved with the whole team to submit bids for new projects and work on both current and new projects.

You’ll:

  1. Be responsible for trade Contractor & Consultant Administration in conjunction with Work Project Managers and Senior Project Manager.
  2. Be responsible for contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Coordinate any responses required with the Commercial Manager.
  3. Liaise with the client, client representatives, and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
  4. Quarterly internal forecasting to show current revenue and costs, forecast, and most likely position.
  5. Be responsible for the following:
  6. Cost management for the additional works.
  7. Revenue management for the additional works.
  8. Change management for the additional works.
  9. Risk and opportunity management for the additional works.
  10. Management of Sub-contracts affected by the additional works.
  11. Management and agreement of interim applications for the additional works.
  12. Management and updating of Final Account advice and agreement of Final Account.
  13. Dispute Resolution and Claims.

We’re looking for:

  1. Working and experienced knowledge of contract/commercial law.
  2. Preferably qualified to RICS accreditation.
  3. BSC or HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying services related subject.
  4. MEP experience is desirable.
  5. Self-motivation and confidence.
  6. Financially astute individual with good communication skills.
  7. A confident decision maker who copes well under pressure.
