Recotherm is a market-leading swimming pool air handling unit (AHU) manufacturer, supplying innovative, high-quality solutions to the commercial and domestic marketplace for over 40 years.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven M&E Sales/Design Manager to join our senior management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-focused mechanical designer with strong leadership, presentation and communication skills to drive business growth, expand our M&E sales team and design and lead high-value M&E projects.

The Role:

The role will focus on technical sales, design knowledge, business development and team growth. You will be responsible for driving technical engagement with M&E contractors and consultants, expanding and mentoring a team of Design Technicians, delivering strategic sales initiatives, presenting CPDs and representing the company on stands at industry trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead technical sales, engaging with M&E contractors and consultants to drive business growth
  2. Expand and develop the design team, recruiting and mentoring new talent
  3. Take responsibility for the delivery of M&E quotations
  4. Deliver engaging presentations & CPD training to industry professionals
  5. Conduct on-site surveys
  6. Participate in technical and management meetings, contributing to business strategy
  7. Provide verbal and written technical expertise, ensuring clear and confident communication
  8. Handle complex technical challenges and customer conflict resolution effectively

What We’re Looking For:

  1. A dynamic leader with a passion for growing and developing high-performing teams
  2. Proven sales-driven mechanical designer with a strong commercial focus
  3. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to engage clients and stakeholders effectively
  4. Strong presentation skills, confident in delivering CPD training and industry talks
  5. HVAC & AHU expertise, with detailed knowledge of Psychrometrics & Swimming Pool Ventilation (essential)
  6. Proficiency in CAD, Word, Excel and Outlook
  7. Knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent) although full training will be given
  8. Previous team management experience, with the ability to recruit, lead and develop staff
  9. A strategic thinker who is ambitious and driven to step into a Board level role in the future
