YTL UK is seeking an MEP Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management of MEP and specialist services on a major UK venue project. You will work with technical managers and delivery teams to establish budgets, develop cost plans, and drive procurement decisions that sustain progress.
You will analyse tender returns, challenge costs, negotiate with suppliers, monitor cost/value positions, and manage change control to ensure profitable delivery of the arena project.
The numbers behind the show!
Before the lights go up. Before the crowd pours in. Before the first act takes centre stage.
Someone needs to make sure every cable, every system, every specialist installation and every pound invested is working exactly as it should.
At YTL Construction UK, we're creating one of the UK's most ambitious live entertainment destinations, the Aviva Arena, and we're looking for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to help bring it to life.
This is far more than commercial management. You'll be helping deliver the complex mechanical, electrical, public health and specialist systems that sit behind a venue designed to host unforgettable experiences. From specialist lighting and acoustics to utilities, life safety systems and large-scale infrastructure, you'll play a critical role in shaping a project that will become a landmark destination.
If you thrive on major projects, enjoy tackling complex challenges and want to look back at something extraordinary and say, "I helped build that", we'd love to hear from you.
You'll take ownership of the commercial management of MEP and specialist service packages across the project lifecycle, supporting the journey from early cost planning through procurement, delivery and final account.
Working alongside Technical Managers, Design Managers, Commercial Leads and delivery teams, you'll establish budgets, develop cost plans, manage tender processes and help drive informed commercial decisions that keep the project moving forward.
You'll analyse tender returns, challenge costs, negotiate with the supply chain and identify opportunities to maximise value without compromising quality or performance. Throughout construction, you'll monitor cost and value positions, manage change control processes, contribute to CVRs and forecasts, and provide clear commercial insight to stakeholders.
You'll also play a key role in managing specialist packages including lifts, utilities, specialist lighting, sound, fire and acoustic systems, helping ensure one of the UK's most exciting venues is delivered on budget and to the highest standards.
Ultimately, you'll help turn complex engineering into a commercially successful reality.
We're looking for someone who can talk comfortably about final accounts, value engineering and supplier negotiations, but who also gets excited by being part of something genuinely iconic.
You'll have experience within MEP or Building Services commercial management and a strong understanding of how major construction projects are successfully procured and delivered. You'll be commercially astute, confident in challenging costs where needed and capable of building strong relationships across project teams and supply chains alike.
You'll also bring:
Most importantly, you'll be proactive, collaborative and motivated by the opportunity to help deliver a venue that will host world-class events, create unforgettable experiences and become a defining part of the Brabazon story.
Because when the audience sees the show, you'll know what it took behind the scenes to make it happen.
