Job summary

Fusion People is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Manchester, supporting mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects. You will take ownership of cost management and be confident in cost reporting and valuations.

The role offers a competitive salary (£55k-£70k DOE), a hybrid working pattern, and clear progression into Senior QS roles within a high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with M&E exposure.
• Strong understanding of building services and commercial processes.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Proactive, organised, and confident managing commercial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Cost reporting – Prepare detailed cost plans, forecasts, and financial updates.
• Measurement & BOQs – Produce accurate quantities and tender documentation.
• Procurement – Assess subcontractor quotations and lead tender analyses.
• Valuations & variations – Manage monthly valuations, change control, and variation assessments.
• Contract administration – Oversee NEC/JCT documentation and ensure commercial compliance.
• Stakeholder coordination – Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to support smooth project delivery.
