Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. in Manchester is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support cost management across mechanical and electrical packages on Manchester projects.

You will take ownership of cost reporting, BOQs, procurement, valuations, variations, and NEC/JCT contract administration, working closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of building services and commercial processes.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with M&E exposure.
• Proactive, organised, and confident managing commercial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Cost reporting — Prepare detailed cost plans, forecasts, and financial updates.
• Measurement & BOQs — Produce accurate quantities and tender documentation.
• Procurement — Assess subcontractor quotations and lead tender analyses.
• Valuations & variations — Manage monthly valuations, change control, and variation assessments.
• Contract administration — Oversee NEC/JCT documentation and ensure commercial compliance.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support the delivery of mechanical and electrical packages across a range of Manchester projects. This role is ideal for someone confident in cost management who’s ready to take ownership of key commercial duties and progress within a high‑performing environment.

Key Responsibilities
