Your primary duty will be to collaborate closely with the M&E Project Managers to ensure projects meet purpose and engineering requirements, while introducing innovative engineering solutions to improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

You will serve as the key technical contact for mechanical and electrical engineering, including aspects of DSEAR and construction issues on your projects.

Some of your daily duties include:

  2. Challenging established thinking to drive sustainable and innovative solutions that deliver cost savings with minimal compromise on engineering quality.
  3. Reviewing design information for suitability and compliance with standards and procurement rules.

  5. Leading the sustainable procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
  6. Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and achieving value for money.
  7. Assisting in preparing technical elements of contracts and sub-contracts.
  8. Liaising with suppliers to meet quality and schedule targets.
  9. Reviewing the technical validity of estimates and forecasts.
  10. Coordinating site visits and surveys for accurate and efficient design completion.
  11. Monitoring progress and reporting to the M&E Project Manager.
  12. Compiling and reviewing operation and maintenance manuals and other project documentation.
What you'll need

We seek a highly enthusiastic and passionate M&E Project Engineer with a proven track record of delivering projects and programs.

You should have a solid technical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, with a desire to continually develop your skills. Experience in the water industry and familiarity with CDM, DSEAR, and Compex is advantageous but not essential.

Successful candidates will be effective communicators, capable of creative engineering thinking, and able to make informed decisions. You should be comfortable managing your time, planning work independently, and influencing at various levels within the organization. Commercial awareness and contractual understanding are also important.

Ideally, you will hold a HND/Degree or equivalent experience, with professional registration or seeking registration being desirable, emphasizing personal and professional growth.

What you'll receive
  • Up to 20% combined pension contribution.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
