Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator with an electrical bias to join the team and lead a
division of 2 full time Estimators. This new role will demand autonomy, excellent
commercial awareness as well as experience gained from an electrical background
over a minimum of 5 years.
The Role
- Preparing and producing detailed tender bids and costing estimates for commercial
projects ranging up to £5M in value.
- Attending and leading pre, mid and post tender meetings, building strong working
relationships with suppliers, contractors and clients.
- Providing support, guidance and management to the team of 2 Estimators to support
career development.
- Engagement with suppliers and contractors to obtain competitive quotations for
materials, labour and bespoke services.
- Day to day management and oversight of the full tender process from start to finish
and full autonomy to make considered decisions for the business.
Person Specification
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team and external suppliers and contractors
- Excellent commercial awareness built over electrical career
- Minimum 5 years electrical estimating experience
- Diligent and efficient with excellent attention to detail
- Good communicator and highly organised
- Ability to manage own workload as well as support 2 team members with queries
- Potential to make clear and considered decisions
- Willing and able to work as part of a team with personal skills to promote good
relationships and a friendly working environment.

- Computer literate, experience of Estimating software beneficial.
- Previous management experience with a tailored leadership approach desirable but
not essential.
This is a permanent position with strong career prospects.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience from an electrical
estimating background. Formal qualifications are not necessary, although an
NC/HNC/HND or similar in a building services related qualification would be
considered an advantage. A proven track record in a similar position is however,
considered essential.

Salary on Offer: £55,000 - £60K per annum, Company car or car allowance, 32 days
holiday p.a., Private Health Care, Pension scheme with Employer contribution, hybrid
working.
