Job summary

MEPJOBS UK is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join our established engineering team covering commercial sites in and around Oxford. The role is mobile, with a £44,000 salary, a company van and fuel card, and a Monday-to-Friday pattern.

You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical building services, ensuring safety and quality on site while liaising with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical discipline (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Strong M&E/building services maintenance background.
• Experience working within commercial properties.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, mechanical plant and electrical systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Professional and client-facing approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Fault-find and repair mechanical and electrical building services
• Maintain HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps and associated plant
• Carry out electrical maintenance including lighting, power and basic fault finding
• Complete routine plant room inspections
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure faults are resolved efficiently
• Complete maintenance records and update CAFM systems
• Liaise professionally with clients and contractors
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

The Role
