Job Title: M&E Engineer (Mobile Role)
Location: Mobile Based at Fulwood Barracks, Preston, covering 6 other sites
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated M&E Engineer with AP experience to join our prestigious clients team, working across multiple MOD sites in the North West. If you're passionate about safety, compliance, and making a tangible impact, this is the role for you.
Job Description
As an M&E Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of our contractual obligations, ensuring full compliance with MOD standards (JSP375). Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Producing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  2. Assessing and supporting the competence of Skilled Persons
  3. Providing expert technical advice to site teams and stakeholders
  4. Supporting MOD carbon reduction initiatives through technical solutions
  5. Supervising and mentoring staff to uphold high safety and quality standards
  6. Liaising with senior management and external partners to ensure project success
  7. Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of all estate operations
Requirements
For this role you will need to have the below experience and qualifications.
  • A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • AP tickets in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Solid experience with Safe Systems of Work and JSP375 compliance
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and solve complex problems
  • Confidence working independently across multiple sites
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to join an on-call rota when required
