An established and highly regarded building services contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager (Electrical Bias) to lead and deliver a portfolio of mechanical and electrical installation projects. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, this business delivers projects ranging from small works to multi-million-pound schemes across the UK.


The M&E Contracts Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of M&E installation projects (up to 3m annually), ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated M&E installation projects from tender to completion.
  • Prepare costings, contract documentation, and valuations.
  • Lead pre-construction planning, sequencing, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, RAMS, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and client meetings.
  • Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial performance.
  • Prepare progress reports and project documentation.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in M&E project or contracts management.
  • Background with a recognised M&E contractor, delivering projects up to 1m+.
  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong commercial acumen with cost management and estimating experience.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of M&E building services.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive safe systems of work.
