Qualifications

Job description

The Company

Eisai is a leading research-based pharmaceutical organisation with an extensive portfolio across the Oncology, Neurology, and Pain therapy areas.

Your new role

The M&E Building Services Technician will report to the Estates Engineering Manager. This role has responsibility for the reliable and compliant operation of the estate-wide services and equipment serving all business functions across the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility at Hatfield.

The main purpose is to deliver a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the EKC business, within the estates engineering team. To plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment with stakeholders, causing minimal disruption.

  • On call (1 in 6), includes attending site Sat/Sun and bank holidays to blow down boilers and carry out plant room checks.
  • Staggered start 37.5 hours one week starting / finishing (07:30 to 16:00) and the other (09:30 to 18:00).

What are we looking for?

  • Electrical engineering, equivalent (BS7671 & C&G 2391).
  • Mechanical engineering (full-term apprenticeship).
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Educated to ONC/HNC.
  • Use of computer (Windows operating system).
  • Good awareness of Health and Safety.
  • Multi-Skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in domestic and low temperature hot water systems (LTHW).
  • Motor controls and relay logic.
  • AHU’s, FCU’s and chilled water systems.
  • Working knowledge of “Safe systems of work”.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • To be flexible, as occasionally the need will arise to work outside standard office hours.
  • Experience of CMMS and BMS systems.
  • Experience working in controlled environments.
  • Water systems and water treatment.
