Job summary

MIDAS Consultancy & Engineering Ltd in Luton is seeking a Building Services Surveyor (M&E) to take ownership of a significant portion of our M&E asset verification work on-site. You will identify mechanical and electrical plant, record asset information accurately and complete surveys with minimal supervision.

Your first year will focus on asset verification, site surveys, photographic records, data quality and supporting report preparation, with a clear path to asset verification, then

Qualifications

• Practical building services or M&E experience.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems.
• Ability to identify plant and equipment on site.
• Genuine attention to detail; survey data must be accurate.
• Organised, methodical and able to work independently on site.
• Willing to travel around the UK; full UK driving licence.
• Able to hold a professional conversation with a client, a building manager or a site engineer.
• Eager to learn and build a career in M&E consultancy.
• Suited to a small growing consultancy rather than a large corporate structure.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a significant amount of M&E asset verification work on site.
• Identify mechanical and electrical plant and record asset information accurately.
• Perform site surveys, including measured and technical surveys.
• Maintain photographic records and quality assure survey data.
• Produce accurate survey information and support report preparation.
