Job description

Are you an experienced Corporate Finance Manager (M+A) seeking a move to Associate Director, or an AD ready to move to a firm where you can manage an entire deal from initial scoping to client-ready reports? If so, this could be the role for you!

Our client is a Top 10 firm with a rapidly growing Birmingham team. Renowned in their market, they have completed numerous deals in 2024/2025. This sector-agnostic role requires you to have completed deals (buy or sell) and be comfortable owning the deal process. You will support financial investors, banks, and other funders, as well as develop new client relationships through networking, business development, and deal origination activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing deals generally worth £50m-£200m, working with significant firms and Private Equity funds.
  2. Project managing transactions to ensure deal process completion.
  3. Conducting detailed research on companies, sectors, and identifying potential transactions and investors/buyers.
  4. Overseeing the production of deal documentation including IMs, Teasers, Buyer Research Packs, etc.
  5. Managing project risks, issues, and billing/cost recovery.

As the successful candidate, you will be expected to have:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance M+A.
  2. A strong understanding of typical mid-market deal structures on both buy and sell sides.
  3. An industry-relevant qualification such as ACA; exceptions can be made for candidates with significant experience.
  4. Previous experience in funding packs, business plans, and memoranda.
