Our M&A Tax Team, part of our wider Corporate & Business Tax Team, is seeking an M&A Tax Manager to join this dynamic and expanding department. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners and directors to provide tailored tax advice on a broad range of corporate transactions.

Location: City, London

Compensation: £67,000 - £75,000 / year

Role Overview

Our M&A Tax Team advises on all transaction tax aspects, serving primarily owner-managed businesses, shareholders, and increasingly institutional clients. Deal sizes range from approximately £5m to over £100m, with many in the £15m to £50m range, covering both sell-side advisory and buy-side due diligence.

The team is currently led by experienced directors and partners, supported by specialists and junior staff. We are experiencing growth and have a steady flow of high-quality work and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily workflow on transactions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of technical advisory and due diligence reports.
  • Communicate effectively with all transaction stakeholders, including clients and their professional advisors.
  • Support and mentor junior team members through delegation and on-the-job training.
Skills and Qualifications
  • UK transaction tax experience with deal sizes as specified. Preference for candidates with advisory and/or due diligence experience, ideally from practice.
  • CTA qualification, with ACA/ACCA preferred. Degree not required.
  • Willingness to expand technical expertise across various tax areas.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to build client trust.
