Qualifications

  • Experience in leading mid-market M&A projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Knowledge of energy sector drivers and deal dynamics in the mid-market.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage M&A projects (with senior guidance) including daily client contact.
  • Oversee all phases of the transaction cycle from origination to execution.
  • Lead the preparation of marketing materials, pitches and client proposals.
  • Direct and mentor junior colleagues and support staff on transactions.
  • Coach and contribute to development of junior team members.
  • Set, monitor, and control project budgets, billing and reporting.
  • Support business development and pitch for new work.

What will you be doing?
  • Manage M&A projects (with support from and reporting into Associate Director/ Director / Partner) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.
  • Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.
  • Leading and managing the delivery of marketing documentation, as well as pitch materials and client proposals
  • Directing and managing junior colleagues, analysts and support staff on M&A transactions, including reviewing their work
  • Coaching and contributing to the development of junior team members
  • Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements
  • Taking responsibility for, and proactively assisting business development efforts, including pitching for new work
What will you need to do it?

Essential skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and market contacts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating complex financial and commercial matters clearly
  • Financial modelling experience, including LBO and DCF analysis
  • Experinces/knowledge of Energy sector
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to demanding timetables
