AFH Wealth Management is seeking a Data Migration Analyst to support data migration in mergers and acquisitions within the financial services sector. You will analyse source data, map rules, perform ETL, and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across environments.

The role requires experience in data migration, strong SQL/excel/python skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data migration or data integration, ideally within financial services.
• Excellent understanding of data mapping, ETL processes, and data transformation.
• Strong technical proficiency to comprehend current system architecture, data structures and integration points.
• Meticulous data analysis ensuring data integrity during transition.
• Experience with M&A or system integration projects.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (Excel, Python).
• Experience with migration tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end data transfer from legacy to new environments across multiple acquisitions.
• Analyse source system data from acquired organisations.
• Define and document data mappings.
• Identify and resolve data issues during migration.
• Perform ETL to extract, transform, and load data.
• Monitor data performance and provide post-migration support.
• Maintain documentation for audit and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and execute data migration test plans and scripts.
• Ensure data completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
