Job summary

Anakin Seal Legal Recruitment is assisting a Leeds-based corporate team to recruit a Corporate Associate. The role focuses on high-quality M&A transactions and broader corporate matters, with early client exposure and increasing responsibility from the outset.

Applicants should be qualified solicitors with 2–4 years' PQE in corporate law, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage workstreams within a national practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitors with 2–4 years’ PQE in corporate law, especially M&A.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities with commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage workstreams independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive approach and ability to meet transaction deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead on mergers, acquisitions and disposal transactions.
• Advise on acquisition and disposal of businesses, assets and shares.
• Assist with public company transactions, including IPOs and fundraisings.
• Manage due diligence, data room reviews and disclosure processes.
• Prepare disclosure letters and supporting documentation.
• Draft and negotiate ancillary transaction documents.
• Advise on restructurings, shareholders' agreements and joint ventures.
• Support business development initiatives and pitches.
