The Team

You will work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates in the mid-market, specializing within Consumer to help clients achieve their strategic objectives of buying or selling companies, from initial review to successful completion. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates to join a growing and ambitious team as a sector specialist.

The business has significant growth ambitions through deep sector expertise and delivering high-quality deal execution.

  • Develop senior and trusted client relationships across mid-market and global companies, new strategic entrants, financial investors, and entrepreneurs
  • Build a strong reputation across KPMG’s major service lines
  • Possess a diverse skill set and deep sector expertise
  • Lead projects with support from Directors/Partners, including being a senior client contact on M&A projects
  • Manage client interfaces and oversee all phases of transaction cycle and deal execution
  • Lead the preparation of transaction documentation, pitch materials, and proposals
  • Manage colleagues, support staff, and external advisers
  • Supervise financial analysis and complex modelling
  • Build market relationships and contribute to business development
  • Monitor project budgets, billing, and reporting

Attributes, Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong academic background (ACA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent)
  • Significant M&A advisory experience
  • Proven execution and origination skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and strategic skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results-driven with sector growth ambition
  • Experience in financial modelling, including LBO & DCF analysis
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Personable, confident, and trustworthy
  • Sector-specific M&A transactional experience

Experience & Background

  • Relevant corporate finance experience in investment banking, Big 4, private equity, M&A boutique, or corporate development
  • Knowledge of financing structures, project finance, and infrastructure finance
  • Experience advising and executing projects to financial close
  • Experience with public sector projects and business case development
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis
  • Ability to interpret and present financial models
  • Enjoy interaction with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Independent thinker with problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing teams
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
