Investment Banking & Private Equity recruitment

A highly successful Infra investment banking group, responsible for the origination and execution of M&A transactions across EMEA, is hiring due to an increased pipeline and sustained deal activity.

Primary responsibilities:

1. Creating marketing materials: Developing investment banking marketing materials such as pitch books, responses to requests for proposals, and teaser documents.
2. Financial modelling and analysis: Building financial models (including DCF, LBO, and Merger models) to assess potential transactions, including evaluation of financial statements, valuation, and credit metrics.
3. Sector and product research: Developing a deep understanding of applicable sectors and products through detailed company and industry analysis, benchmarking, credit profiling, and highlighting investment opportunities.
4. Support in transaction execution: Assisting in preparing NDAs, mandate letters, prospectuses, information memorandums, due diligence, loan return analyses, and credit memos.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Experience as an M&A analyst in investment banking, from a large IB, boutique, Big 4, or specialist modelling firm.
• Prior experience in Energy & Infrastructure sectors such as Energy, Renewables, Infra, Transport, etc., with a genuine interest.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with proficiency in building financial models from scratch, including operational models, accounting, debt facilities, credit metrics, and valuation analysis.
• High motivation and a strong work ethic, with a passion for the sector.
• Excellent understanding of various valuation methodologies, including IRR, FCFE, DCF, and Comparables.
• Good understanding of processes involved in buy-side, sell-side, public mergers, and acquisitions.
