Job description

Michael Caines, one of Britain's most celebrated and best known chefs, opened the luxury country retreat Lympstone Manor in Devon in Spring 2017, gaining a Michelin star just six months after. The former private home has been transformed into a 27-bedroom hotel featuring contemporary interiors. Spring 2022 saw the opening of the latest addition to Lympstone Manor, our fabulous Pool House Restaurant & Bar. The pool house offers informal and relaxed dining inside or alfresco. The menu celebrates locally sourced ingredients offering something for all and driven by quality.


Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing all Restaurant operations ensuring not only the highest standards of service but outstanding product knowledge.
  2. Contributing to the profitable operation of the hotel by maintaining and adhering to allocated budgets by controlling stock, consumables, and the staff rota to ensure efficient use of labour, while incorporating staff holidays.
  3. Building rapport with guests in order to maximise sales opportunities and generate future business.
  4. Performing occasional Duty Management shifts as required.
  5. Being a pivotal and charismatic figurehead in the lounges, carrying out the role of “host” along with the senior management team.
Qualifications:
  1. Good working knowledge of quality food and wine.
  2. Michelin star or 5AA Rosette experience essential.
  3. Attention to detail and presentation to a high standard.
  4. Well-developed organisation and communication skills.
  5. A strong motivator and team leader.
