Job summary

Wilson Power Solutions Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our Engineering Department by providing technical guidance to WPS UK and their RMU & LV cabinets/Feeder Pillar suppliers.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, estimating tenders for RMU, LV cabinets and feeders, coordinating with purchasing, maintaining supplier prices, preparing BOMs and drawing approvals, and supporting customers with technical queries.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum five years in Engineering/Sales/Tendering in LV/HV switchgear industry.

Responsibilities

Review technical specifications, SLDs, and estimate RMU/LV cabinet tender prices.
Coordinate with purchasing, maintain up-to-date supplier prices, send enquiries and follow up quotes.
Create BOMs, establish parts, and approve drawings with suppliers.
Monitor supplier material issues and suggest alternatives to avoid reoccurrence.
Visit supplier premises for process inspection and products qualification.
Develop new suppliers for various products.
Provide technical support and calculations for all Group departments.
Assist customers with technical queries and attend customer visits when required.
Liaise with third party consultants as appropriate.
