Job summary

Bauer Media Outdoor UK is seeking a Jointer to support ICP-related electrical work across sites for advertising infrastructure. You will travel to roadside and public locations to perform LV jointing, disconnections and reconnections, ensuring work is done to required standards and timelines.

The role involves night work, on-call duties and occasional overnight travel. Training for LV 1&2 and familiarity with HSG 47/COSH is preferred; travel may include longer trips to Dartford, St Helens and

Qualifications

• UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites across the region.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be open to on-call duties and overtime with compensation.
• First Aid at work and Power Add-on training are preferred.
• Knowledge of HSG 47 and COSHH is expected; training available for LV 1&2.
• Experience with LV electrical work and installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform LV jointing, disconnections and reconnections.
• Live working on LV networks as required.
• Install DNO-spec cable and ducting underground.
• Install feeder pillars and cutouts for advertising infrastructure.

Job description

Bauer Media Outdoor is one of the world's leading Out of Home media owners with more than 40,000 sites nationwide. Our dedicated team of more than 650 people work in 14 locations nationwide to create and post stunning advertising, as well as building, cleaning and maintaining street furniture, making the urban environment better for local communities.

About The Role

A few years ago, we brought the construction of our advertising sutes in house. Since then, the team have been extremely successful in delivering hundreds of site builds, including out newest digital units, billboards and large storm instillations. We're excited to be working on some interesting projects this year, including becoming NERS accredited and bringing the ICP activities inhouse so we're now looking for jointers to join our construction team in St.Helens, Bristol and Dartford.

What you'll be doing

As a BMO Jointer, you must be capable of ensuring ICP related electrical work for our advertising infrastructure in the area is carried out to the applicable standards and within the timescales.

This will involve travelling to sites (roadside and public areas) in the North West, plus occassional travek further afield and some night working dependent on business needs - sufficient notice will be given with lodgings and reasonable overnight expenses provided, with the possibility of undertaking subcontracted activities for third perties if there are extended periods of inactivity.

• Completing joints, disconnections and reconnections to LV Voltage only
• Live working on LV Networks
• Installing DNO SPEC cable and ducting underground
• Installation of electrical feeder pillars and cutouts

What we need from you

• Current UK Driving License holder
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
• Be open to on call duties and overtime (this is compensated as extra)
• First Aid at work and Power Add on
• Working knowledge of HSG 47
• Working Knowledge of COSHH
• EUSR’s LV 1&2 is preferred but training will be given
